gentle queen / loyal knight (femdom)

I've got the bones outline for Crave & Cure book 2 going, and I have a dev meeting on Thursday to iron out any kinks so I can get into heavy outlining.

With that being said, one of the core and unchangeable aspects to my next book is the dynamic.

In my previous femdom novels, I've done a variety of relationship dynamics while using a handful of expected devices (i.e. chastity, pegging, etc).

I'll Do Anything- bullies to lovers - femdom is used as a tool to prove devotion - chastity - ass play - no pegging

Stray - client to friends to lovers - femdom is used to repair and restore emotional balance in both MC's - chastity - ass play - pegging - restraints

The Only One - friends to lovers - dual virgins - femdom is their lifestyle and not a plot device - reverse missionary - ass play - chastity - pegging

I thoroughly enjoyed writing femdom as a lifestyle, because it allowed me to make it intimate instead of sensationalized. It's not to say that vignettes of femdom in heavily described scenes is bad, but there's something to the natural ways, too. It definitely hits with the right storyline.

But this time? I want to write something somewhere between Stray and The Brazen One. What does that mean? If you've read both of those, you may be getting excited right now. Because while on surface level, you may not think Bran and Atti are alike--Bran is a sub, Atti is the alpha MC--but wait.

Bran is a demure alpha submissive. Atti is an alpha loyal knight.

The hero of book 2 in Crave & Cure is going to be an alpha submissive. Otherwise known as the Loyal Knight. What is the literary loyal knight?

He lives to serve his queen. He protects her in all ways, at all costs. But when he's alone with his queen, he takes a knee, bows to her, and becomes submissive- all in servitude.

Who is the gentle Queen? She has complete power over her Knight but doesn't abuse it. She's often soft and in tone and action while in private, but is strong and commanding otherwise.

He protects, she commands.

That is the dynamic for my broken heroine and equally broken (if not more so) hero of my upcoming femdom.

I'm so excited to write another femdom, but more so, I'm excited to write my first truly alpha submissive. The heroine- Scarlett - isn't my first soft dominant, but she will be my first soft dominant who is gently cruel.

Gentle cruelty is a first for me, too.

Gah. I'm excited.

Had to share. Had to talk about this dynamic so when I start teasing tropes, it makes more sense!

Are you excited??
